Since I don’t have an idea on what program you are having problems with, try doing another clean installation of the application just to restore it to its default configuration and also fix possible corrupted files that may have developed in the program. The reason why you are not having any issues with GearBox and POD Farm is maybe because you are using the correct version or latest version of their drivers on your machine that’s why all works well.
I’m also not familiar with GearBox and with POD Farm and when I checked their official website I learned that they are applications for audio equipment. The problem here is that, you did not mention in your post the name of the application where you usually encounter this problem.
